EMPLOYEE INSURANCE PLANS

EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

 

All permanent employees regularly scheduled to work at least twenty (20) hours per work week are eligible to enroll for coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision and Life).  This does not include temporary or seasonal employees.  For more detailed information on eligibility, enrollment restrictions, premiums, and plan detail contact the Human Resources Office at (740)588-4371.

 

Medical Insurance

The employee medical insurance is a self-insured plan administered by the Aultra Administrative Group. The plan offers both in-network and out-of-network coverage with Quality Care Partners and Ohio Health Group as the networks.  For more information on the plan go to www.aultragroup.com or for network information go to www.qualitycarepartners.com or www.ohiohealthgroup.com .

 

Dental Insurance

The employee dental insurance is a self-insured plan administered by the Aultra Administrative Group.  The plan offers both in-network and out-of-network coverage with Dentamax as the network.  For more information on the plan go to www.aultragroup.com or for network information go to www.dentamax.com .

 

Vision Insurance

The employee vision insurance is provided through Vision Service Plan offering in-network and out-of-network benefits for routine exams, lenses and frames.  For plan and network information go to www.vsp.com .

 

Life Insurance

The employee group life insurance is a term life plan with AD&D supplement through MetLife. Additional term life insurance with MetLife can also be purchased through payroll deduction while employed with the County.  Upon retirement, eligible employees have a retirement benefit available to them.  For more information call 1-800-METLIFE.

 

OPERS (Ohio Public Employees Retirement System)

When you become an employee of Muskingum County, you are required by law to participate in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System. OPERS provides retirement, disability and other benefits to public employees.  Contributions are payroll deducted.  For more information call 1-800-222-7377 or visit their website at www.opers.org .

 

Deferred Compensation Plan:

Employees have the opportunity to participate in a supplemental retirement plan regulated by Section 457 of the Internal Revenue Code. For more information contact the Human Resources Office.

 

 

 

Vacation:

Upon completion of one year of service, Muskingum County offers two weeks of vacation annually to full-time employees. Based on additional length of service, you can earn a maximum of five weeks.

 

Holidays:

Full-time employees receive eleven paid holidays each year.

 

Sick Leave/Bereavement Leave:

Full-time employees earn sick leave at the rate of 4.6 hours for each eighty hours in active pay status.  Full-time employees are granted three days of leave for bereavement in the event of a death of an immediate family member.

 

College Tuition Savings Plan:

Employees can participate in a 529 college savings plan through payroll deduction. For more information, contact the Human Resources Office.
